In partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA), we successfully ran the TechStart Programme from June 2023 to May 2024 across several public libraries in Singapore. This initiative aimed to strengthen the digital skills of schooling children from low-income families, particularly those who are at primary school levels.

Over the course of 16 Saturday sessions, nearly 130 children took part, supported by close to 120 dedicated volunteers who gave their time and guidance. We are heartened by the positive feedback from IMDA, and even more so by the children’s enthusiasm in learning new digital skills. A big thank you to all our volunteers for making TechStart a meaningful and impactful journey!

This coming September 2025, we are excited to partner with Mawar Community Services (MCS) to launch a new series of workshops – Tech Superpowers – for children aged 7 to 13. These fun, hands-on sessions will introduce kids to:

  • Coding

  • Robotics

  • Chatbots

  • Digital Art

We are looking for volunteers to join us in roles such as logistics support, guiding the children, or assisting with simple technical support.
